The Powerlotto Game is a combination of Lotto and Digit games.  The player selects five (5) numbers from a set of numbers ranging from 1 to 55 plus one (1) number from a set of power numbers ranging from 1 to 10. Every 5+1 combination is worth P50.00.</p>
<p>The played 5 + 1 combination corresponding to the drawn winning number combination wins the Jackpot prize. The Minimum Jackpot Prize (MJP) is Fifty Million Pesos (Php50,000,000.00).</p>
<p>Also the player has the power option to play Lucky Pick(LP), Advance Play, System Play and the Power Roll for more chances of winning.</p>
<p>TThe Powerlotto Draws can be seen every Saturday at 9:00 p.m. over NBN 4 together with your other favorite Lotto games.</p>

<p>The player may opt to play the System Play where a customer selects a set of numbers according to the desired System Play (6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 &amp; 12) on the POWERLOTTO betslip.</p>
<p>Example, marking SYS 6 means marking 6 numbers from one (1) set of numbers ranging from 1 to 55. Marking SYS 7 means marking 7 numbers and so on depending on the System Play desired up to SYS 12. And then select one(1) number from one (1) set of numbers ranging from 1 to 10.</p>
<p>The player may use the power of Lucky Pick (LP). Advance draws is also allowed up to 6 consecutive POWERLOTTO draws.</p>
<p><strong>The Rule Of Power Roll</strong></p>
<p>For more power, the player can play the POWER ROLL by marking the Power Roll on the POWERLOTTO betslip. The customer then selects five (5) numbers from one (1) set of numbers ranging from 1 to 55.</p>
<p>The one (1) set of numbers ranging from 1 to 10 on the left column must not be marked. The system would roll these numbers and match it with the chosen five (5) numbers from one (1) set of numbers ranging from 1 to 55.</p>

<p>The Filipinos’ dream of winning a P500-million jackpot in lottery has moved closer to reality with the introduction in the country of Powerlotto, the latest and biggest lotto game now being offered by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).</p>
<p>Dr. Larry Cedro, PCSO spokesman, said the agency introduced Powerlotto in the Philippines with the aim of attracting more affluent Filipinos to “spread the charity virus” by patronizing lottery games meant to generate funds for the poor.</p>
<p>“Powerlotto is our way of encouraging the more affluent sectors of our society—the ABC class— to join the charity bandwagon. They can now help our less fortunate countrymen and, at the same time, look forward to winning hundreds of millions of pesos through lottery games,” Dr. Cedro pointed out.</p>
<p>He estimated that the PCSO would generate an additional P149,940,000 in Charity Fund during the operation of Powerlotto in the first six months alone.</p>
<p>Dr. Cedro noted that it is easier for Powerlotto to reach the P500-million jackpot mark since the initial jackpot prize offered is P50-million. The initial jackpot prize will be added to the next draw in case there is no winner in the previous draw.</p>
<p>“In case there is no jackpot winner for nine consecutive draws, which is possible as seen from experiences in 6/49 Super Lotto draws, the jackpot prize will balloon to P500-million—the biggest in Philippine lotto history,” Dr. Cedro explained.</p>
<p>“And it (jackpot) may even go beyond the P500-million mark in case there are no jackpot winners in succeeding draws,” he added.</p>
<p>The biggest jackpot ever in the 13-year-history of online lottery in the Philippines— amounting to P249,005,120.40— was won last March 30 by a laborer from Quezon City.</p>
<p>That jackpot prize for the 6/49 Super Lotto draw reached the P249-million mark after nobody picked the right number combination in the past 16 draws. The March 30 draw was the 17th since the first was held in January 17.</p>
<p>To play the Powerlotto, a player with a minimum bet of P50 will have to choose five numbers from 1 to 55, plus one “power number” from 1 to 10. In order to win the jackpot, the bettor must pick the first five numbers in any order and the exact “power number.”</p>
<p>Aside from the jackpot, a player may also win P700,000 if he picks the first set of five numbers in any order (5+0); P50,000 for four numbers and the power number (4+1); P8,000 for the first set of four numbers (4+0); P4,000 for three numbers and the power number (3+1); P600 for the first set of three numbers (3+0); P400 for two numbers and the power number (2+1); and P100 for one number and the power number (1+1).</p>
<p>Powerlotto will be drawn once a week together with the other regular lotto game line-up scheduled on Tuesdays. Selling of Powerlotto tickets began last June 2 and the first draw is set on June 17.</p>
<p>Dr. Cedro said the Powerlotto is patterned from America’s favorite game, the PowerBall Lotto.</p>
<p>At present, the PowerBall is being played successfully in 18 different countries such as: United Kingdom, Spain , Greece, Austria, Chile, Romania, Luxemburg, Belgium, Australia, Portugal, France, New Zealand, Switzerland, Ireland, Israel, Italy and Serbia.</p>
<p>The POWERLOTTO tickets are available in any Authorized Lotto Outlets Nationwide, at the PCSO Provincial District Offices or at the PCSO Main Office at E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue, in Quezon City.</p>

The chronic lack of doctors, nurses, and competent health         workers has been aggravated by decades of overseas migration of Filipino medical         practitioners who leave the country in search of higher-paying jobs abroad. Likewise,         the lack of basic medicine and provisions for primary medical procedures has made         difficult the timely intervention for arresting communicable diseases and even common         ailments. These realities have taken their heaviest toll on the state of health         of Filipinos in remote provinces and similarly situated poor municipalities and         cities that make up the nation’s 42,000 barangays.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Kaibigan ng PCSO is a program that will be pursued through the leadership of the         Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) to systematize and rationalize the         sourcing of volunteer individuals and organizations in partnership with the private         sector to advance the charity agency’s health mandate. By establishing sustainable         networks and linkages that will continuously recruit medical and health volunteers         as well as generate additional resources, the program will be able to expand the         reach of PCSO services that immediately address health concerns of needy Filipinos.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">The program envisions that through this mode of intervention on a nationwide scale         the corporate responsibility ethic of private corporations and companies will be         enhanced, particularly with regard to health issues. It likewise seeks to promote         the volunteerism spirit inherent in every Filipino.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Kaibigan ng PCSO recognizes the varying capabilities of individuals, groups, and         corporate entities in the public and private sector in rendering vital volunteer         work that meets the immediate health needs of the poor. It also gives importance         to the value of individual and collective civic efforts and of raising these efforts         to the level of “unity in volunteerism” to sustain a functioning and efficient health         and medical assistance delivery system for poor Filipinos everywhere.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Kaibigan ng PCSO will recruit and organize volunteers at the provincial, municipal,         city, and barangay levels, using primarily the organizational reach of PCSO, the         country’s premier charity agency.</p>

<p>Lottery scam letters are sent out by the thousands and thousands every day.  There are only two things the bad guys want: your money and your identity.  Your identity is just as important or even more important than any money you send them, and they can get your identity when you open the very first letter if it contains a Trojan horse or spyware; scam letters often do.</p>
<p><strong>What will they say to get what they want?</strong></p>
<p>They will tell you whatever you want to hear.  They will tell you whatever they feel you will believe.  They will pretend to be lawyers, claims agents, bankers, law enforcement agents, people of high rank in the government, gaming officials, tax collectors, and any other title that will convince you they are good people.</p>
<p><strong>When do they ask for personal identification?</strong></p>
<p>After you answer the first letter, they will write back asking for your personal identification.  This is used to steal your identity.  They steal your identity by using your personal banking, passport, driver&#8217;s license, or credit card information to open accounts you don&#8217;t know about &#8211; it doesn&#8217;t matter if you have bad credit!  Felons get jobs using your name.  Illegal aliens and drug smugglers could care less about your credit &#8211; that will not keep them from getting a driver&#8217;s license with your name and their picture, faking your birth certificate for a passport in your name with their picture, or anything else they want to do.</p>
<p>They buy things in your name and do not pay for them.  They take out loans in your name and do not pay for them.  They commit crimes using your name and leave you holding the bag.  Creditors will contact you asking for their money.  Police will contact you and may even hold you for questioning to determine if you are telling the truth.  Unless you&#8217;ve been interrogated by the police, held for questioning, and spent time in jail while waiting for everything to be sorted out, you simply don&#8217;t know the real meaning of a nightmare.   We work with fraud victims and their Criminal Defense Attorneys, both public and private, on a daily basis and see the damage all the time.</p>
<p>Identity Theft is a very serious thing and is a life sentence.  If you have sent scammers a copy of your passport, birth certificate, identity card, or driver&#8217;s license; if you have sent them your banking information or your credit card information, or if you have merely been opening their emails &#8211; which provides your IP address by receipt, giving them a specific location to send their malware, please go HERE immediately!</p>
<p><strong>When do they ask for money?</strong></p>
<p>They usually ask for money in the second or third letter; sometimes they  ask for money in the first letter or the fourth letter.</p>
<p>Legitimate lotteries, free lotteries (also known as Sweepstakes) never, NEVER ask for money.  They do not have to.  There are no fees of any kind.  If you really win a lottery or Sweepstakes, the only money you owe is the tax you personally pay directly to your government.  This tax is never paid through anyone else or by anyone else.  This is true in every country.</p>
<p>They tell you that you must pay money for bank fees, storage, shipping, and a long line of false reasons.  Every single reason, every document is false.  All documents are counterfeit or forged.  There are no fees for insurance.  There is no document or charge stating that the &#8220;winnings&#8221; will not be used for terrorism or illegal purposes.  No such document exists.  Lottery money is not stored at a security house.  Lottery money is not shipped in cash.  Lottery money is not sent by courier.</p>
<p>Lottery money or Sweepstakes (free lottery) money is sent by check using DHL, UPS, or FedEx.  The check is from the Lottery Company and has the lottery company name on the check.  For instance, if you win the ABC Lottery, the check will say ABC Lottery on it.  The address for ABC Lottery will be correct.  It will be one that you can verify on your own, without asking the people who wrote the letters.  Why does the check come from the lottery company and have the lottery company name on it?  Because the lottery or Sweepstakes wants you to make copies of the check.  They want you to show it to everyone so that more people will register.  This is very important to them.</p>
